Flying from Buenos Aires
Transport to Ministro Pistaini International Airport (EZE)
Buenos Aires’ international airport is known as Ezeiza Airport, and is 45 minutes west of the city by car. The most convenient way to get to the airport is by taxi, but make sure you ask for the meter to be turned on before getting in the car. The cheapest way to get to the airport is by public bus, which drops you 100 m from the airport terminal, but can take up to 2 hours. There is a private shuttle bus company that will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to their terminal, where you board the larger bus for the airport. This is one of the easiest ways, but also one of the more expensive, and you do need to book in advance if you would like a hotel pickup.
Transport to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP)
Aeroparque Jorge Newbery is Buenos Aires’ main domestic and regional airport, although it also offers flights to and from Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Chile. This is Argentina’s busiest airport, and is only 2 km from the city centre in the Palermo neighbourhood. The easiest way to get here is by taxi from the city centre; it’s inexpensive and will take less than 30 minutes. If you are transferring between the two airports, there is a private company that runs direct shuttles.
